Kei Tominaga studied metal sculpture and smithing at the Tokyo University for Art and Music before going on to design solo contemporary product collections and collaborating with global architects and designers. Now based in London, she works with sheet metals and soft metals, including silver, gold, copper and iron, to create jewellery, silverware and artworks that focus on lightness and texture inspired by paper. Her works are a perfection of structural simplicity that use folding, bending and curving to create objects of strength, elegance and beauty.
